In collaboration with Ivey Business School, the PIIC welcomed 150+ of Canada’s brightest young business minds from all around the nation to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of business.
WHISTLER, CANADA — On June 28–29, 2025, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler was filled with youthful ambition and competitive energy as top high school business students from across Canada gathered for the Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition.
Organized by Prosper Foundation in collaboration with the Ivey Business School, the Invitational marked a major milestone as Canada’s premier invitation-only business case competition for high school students.
A Celebration of National Talent
The Prosper Ivey Invitational brought together top-performing students from various Prosper Foundation conferences, Ivey High School Case Competitions, Canadian National Leadership Conference by FBL Canada, alongside high-achieving external applicants, to compete in a rigorous yet educational event. Participants were challenged to analyze a complex, real-world business case and present innovative strategies under time pressure — emulating the Ivey HBA classroom experience.

Direct Access to Ivey’s Academic Excellence
One of the highlights of the weekend was the Introduction to the Ivey Case Method sessions, delivered by Ivey Lecturers Ian Dunn and Martin Eidenberg. These interactive workshops introduced attendees to the dynamic, discussion-driven learning approach used in Ivey classrooms. Students engaged in case discussions, honed their analytical thinking, and gained invaluable exposure to the academic culture at one of Canada’s top business schools.

More Than a Competition: A Community of Leaders
The Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition was not just about competing — it was about connecting. In a key feature of the conference, students were purposefully assigned to randomized teams, encouraging them to step out of their comfort zones, build new relationships, and collaborate with peers from diverse backgrounds and regions. Throughout the weekend, they took part in numerous bonding activities designed to strengthen these connections.
The Explorer Challenge sent teams into Whistler Village for a fast-paced scavenger hunt, while the Venture Creation Challenge pushed students to channel their creativity by developing and pitching entrepreneurial concepts on the fly. These engaging, high-energy activities allowed attendees to build friendships, foster teamwork, and develop real leadership skills, making the PIIC experience not only competitive but also genuinely transformative.
Another Milestone in Prosper Foundation’s Vision
The Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition capped off a transformative year for Prosper Foundation, following the success of Prosper 2025, which welcomed over 500 students for Canada’s first overnight hotel youth business conference and case competition. The Invitational built upon this momentum, offering a boutique, high-performance environment for Canada’s brightest young business minds.
As Prosper Foundation continues to expand its reach and partnerships, the success of the Prosper Ivey Invitational reaffirms its role as a leader in youth business education. With plans already in motion for Prosper 2026, expansion into Eastern Canada with Prosper Ontario, and future iterations of the PIIC, Prosper Foundation remains committed to empowering the next generation of change-makers.
