Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition
PROSPER FOUNDATION

Welcome to the PIIC.
The Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition sets the highest level of rigour and standard for youth business conferences in Canada. With our collaboration with the Ivey Business School, we strive to connect the brightest and most talented students across the country to gather together and achieve remarkable things.
About the Event
The Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition (PIIC) will be a 2-day, 1-night event taking place from June 28-29, 2025 at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler in Whistler, British Columbia. Similar to the Ivey High School Case Competition, The PIIC is specifically targeted towards Canadian students in grades 10 through 12. Students will apply as independent attendees and will be placed onto teams consisting of students from other high schools to ensure diversity of opinions and experiences.

We have designed the PIIC to be more than just a competition — it’s an opportunity to bring together the brightest business-minded students from across Canada in a collaborative retreat setting. From learning & practicing the renowned Ivey Case Method to bonding with their newly-formed team members during The Explorer Challenge, the PIIC strives to redefine and revolutionize what youth business conferences can offer.
All interested attendees must submit an application for the competition in order to be considered. Due to space constraints, only a limited number of attendees will be allowed to participate in the event. Students will hear back from the Prosper team if they are accepted to the event within 3 weeks of submitting their application. Applications will be processed on a rolling basis, and the event may reach its capacity before the registration deadline.
Qualification Criteria
To qualify for the Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition, Prosper and Ivey are looking for talented individuals with a deep passion in the business world. Registrants should be high achievers, team players, and involved in extracurricular activities. There are 2 ways to qualify for the PIIC:

Automatic Qualification
For high achieving teams at Prosper Foundation events, the individual participants on each team will receive automatic qualification for the PIIC.

The cutoff for each conference is as follows:
-
Top 3 teams of each competition stream at Ascend 2024
-
Top 8 teams at STRIVE 2025
-
Top 16 teams at Prosper 2025

Should there be an overlap in the qualification placement (e.g. an individual achieved Top 3 at Ascend 2024 and Top 8 at STRIVE 2025), an individual from the next-best team will be selected and included in the invitation.

In addition, the top placing teams at Ivey High School Case Competitions across Canada are also eligible to receive automatic qualification for the PIIC — Top 3 teams of the Vancouver iteration of Ivey High School Case Competition and the winning teams of other Ivey High School Case Competitions nationwide.

All automatically qualified participants must still submit the application form below to be considered.

External Application
The Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition is also an opportunity for talented high school students who have demonstrated extraordinary achievements in other business programs. Interested students should apply to the PIIC and submit their supplementary material in their applications.

Examples of supplementary material include:
-
Certificates of achievement from other case competitions or business conferences in Canada
-
Demonstrated interest in the business world through extracurricular activities
-
Recommendation letters from teachers or counsellors expressing interest

The number of available spots in the PIIC dedicated to external applicants is extremely limited and highly competitive. Students are encouraged to submit their applications as soon as possible.
Application Process
To apply for the Prosper Ivey Invitational Competition, please visit the form below. Applicants with automatic qualification status must submit their applications within 4 weeks of receiving the invitation email, and they will be notified approximately 3 weeks after submitting their applications. All external applications will be reviewed after we have processed all automatically qualified applicants. Applications for the PIIC will close on May 28, 2025.
